The only issue I would have with this situation is if the CFIG asked me to go to "low tow". Is that relative to the tow pilot or me? According to the article on http://www.dg-flugzeugbau.de in "Customer Picture of the Month" - "This is no April 1st joke. It shows an aero tow of a DG-1000 - done by Alwin Guentert from Bruchsal. He is an enthusiastic aerobatic pilot and owns a suitable towing aircraft.
Please note the climbing rate of 3.5 m/sec with a speed of 170 km/h!
The air foil is totally symmetrical. So there is no difference flying "down-under".

Owner/Pilot Drew Field took his Schweizer 1-26 cross-country (is that even possible? - ed) and almost made it home to Caddo Mills Airport. The "one mile" shown on the sign was accomplished by "auto ground tow." Photo by Thaddeus Sokolowski (courtesy of Joe Allbritten).

"Mame, do you have something in a Schweizer, size 1-26?"

Boy, when I saw this sign I ran right in. Was I sorely disappointed. Not a DG, Jantar, or Nimbus to be seen. Maybe this is Waz's Barcalouger glider sales office. Credit: John DeRosa

No, no, Doug. You need to be inside the plane throwing up outside...not the other way around! Credit: John DeRosa and his amazing Palm Zire 71 and Doug Tarmichael at the 2003 Midwest Vintage/Classic Sailplane Regatta in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
